Dr. Glenn Doromal Aguilar

Dr. Glenn D. Aguilar is currently the Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development of the University of the Philippines in the Visayas. He is affiliated with the Institute of Marine Fisheries and Oceanology, College of Fisheries and Ocean Studies. He obtained his Doctor of Engineering from the University of Tokyo in1995, his MS Engineering (Ocean Engineering) from the University of Washington in 1987 and his BS Fisheries (Marine Fisheries) from the College of Fisheries, University of the Philippines in 1984.

Dr. Aguilar's research fields include fishing boat design, fisheries information systems, and artificial intelligence. He graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines in 1994 and received the Graduate Paper Award from the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers in 1988.
