Navarro, Ronald
Ronald R. Navarro is currently connected with the
Hydrospheric Environmental Protection Department of the National
Institute for Resources and Environment, AIST, MITI, Tsukuba, Japan.
His research is concerned on the development of remediation processes
for heavy metal contaminated wastewaters by a physico-chemical approach.
Specifically, his work deals on the synthesis of efficient chelating
adsorbents and flocculants for the common toxic heavy metals. He
received his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (cum laude)
from the University of the Philippines at Los Baños in 1991.
He finished both his Masters in Biosystem Studies (1996) and PhD
in Applied Biochemistry (1999) at the University of Tsukuba, Japan.
He is currently a member of the Japan Society on Water Environment
(JSWE) and the International Water Association (IWA).
