Saloma, Caesar
Caesar Saloma is a Professor of Physics at the
National Institute of Physics, University of the Philippines in
Diliman. He obtained his BS, MS, and PhD degrees from the University
of the Philippines in 1981, 1984, and 1989, respectively. He has
received distinguished awards including the Outstanding Young Scientist
(Applied Physics) from the National Academy of Science and Technology
in 1992,Third World Academy of Science (TWAS) Prize in Physics in
1997, and Hall of Fame Recognition as outstanding researcher (Gawad
Chanselor) from the University of the Philippines.
Prof. Saloma is currently the Director of the National
Institute of Physics, an Associate Editor for the Philippine Journal
of Science and Science Diliman, and a reviewer of various international
journals.
Prof. Caesar Saloma is actively involved in Electrooptics
and Instrumentation Physics research.
